It's that time of the year again!

The Whitney’s Garden Parties return for the 33rd year

Enjoy great local music and delicious craft cocktails in the beautiful garden at the Whitney mansion in Midtown Detroit. And we're excited to once again kick off the season with the 5K/0.1K Sprint for the Spirits on Thursday, May 23rd!  This fun run gives you two options: for those that want to earn your beverages, sign-up for the 5K or for those that just want to celebrate in the fun, we have a 0.1k for you! Benefiting Cass Community.

Entry is only $20 and includes your cover to the Garden Party at The Whitney on opening day, Thursday, May 23rd, first draft beer or glass of champagne, a race t-shirt and a commemorative glass. Plus $10 will be donated to Cass Community! Can't go wrong with that! Limited spots available.

Beneficiary

Cass Community Social Services is Detroit-based agency dedicated to providing food, housing, health services, and job programs. For each race registration, Cass Community will receive $10.

Race Routes

Both courses will begin at RUNdetroit and end at The Whitney. 5K runners/walkers may check their bags in at RUNdetroit and they will be shuttled to The Whitney. A portable pop-up changing room will be available should you want to change out of your running clothes.

Garden Parties

In its 33rd year, the Garden Parties at The Whitney are a way to say hello to Summer in Midtown Detroit. Featuring live music, craft cocktails, wine, bubbles and beer on draft, the Garden Parties are always a great time. $5 cover fee gets you in to enjoy the fun with lots of awesome food and drink specials.
